Our Client is a well-known consumer electronics MNC , currently seeking a GM/Sales Director to join a dynamic APAC leadership team, reporting into the APAC President. The role requires a high-energy individual who excels at articulating and promoting the value and competitive advantages of our solutions to help our customers create extraordinary and trustworthy customer experiences. The Country Manager is accountable for overall sales performance for the Greater China Sales team, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives with the APAC business strategy for China sub-region. The Country Manager will build, define and execute the go-to-market strategy, leading and developing the Sales team and managing indirect reports like Presales and Services teams, to achieve high growth results and sustainable sales performance.
Background & Experience:
· At least 15 years of experience planning, executing and managing advanced enterprise portfolio sales in consumer electronics industries.
· Proven leadership abilities in building, leading and developing the sales team and proactively managing performance as well as driving achievement of sales objectives, goals and KPIs..
· Successful track record in sophisticated applications based value selling, creating, managing and executing complex, high value sales opportunities.
· Experience in managing Greater China business, ability to leverage on the partner eco-system and manoeuvre through the matrix environment working in a highly collaborative way with various teams.
· Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with the ‘C’ or VP level business users to influence strategic application of the Company’s solutions.
· Inherent self-leadership, innovative, adaptability, confidence and executive presence.
· Familiarity with the Contact Center industry and/or customer experience solutions would be advantageous.
· Excellent written and spoken English skills
· The role will be based in Mainland China with extensive travelling within the territory.
Key responsibilities:
· Build business plans and develop strategic initiatives to execute, drive and expand the Enterprise solutions in the Greater China markets leveraging the partner ecosystem and through direct engagement.
· Pipeline and territory strategy development and management. Master a deep understanding of the performance metrics or KPIs that will be used to measure the success of execution (booking, revenue, forecast and pipeline).
· Recruit/retain and develop the sales team in order to build a sustainable business. Be a player-coach to the sales team.
· Manage, with the Sales team, the entire sales process from pipeline generation, targeting opportunities and engagement with decision makers, to purchase order execution.
· Leverage on internal resources such as Presales, Channel Sales, Marketing, Services and Support efforts to achieve business goals and annual sales target.
· Develop and maintain high-level customer relations at CxO and CEO levels. Create and maintain a high-level presence and a network of relationships to facilitate sales and promote alliances and partnerships.
· Oversee the overall operation and management of the local offices with Corporate Services’ assistance.
